Tough Issues |
Keeping Our Students Safe was the theme of this year's annual SELF workshop.
Presentations were given by Kathy Stevens and Patrick Perry from United
Educators and Jeff Chasen with the AGOS GROUP. The speakers addressed
timely issues including preventing sexual misconduct in schools, safeguarding
campuses against sexual misconduct, creating procedures that limit sexual
misconduct and other topics.
More than 150 people attended the two workshops in Sacramento and Ontario.
The attendees said they thought the topics were well-presented and important
for districts to be aware of. If any member has a topic they would like
to have addressed at next year's workshop, please call Gary Sabol at the
SELF Office.
