 Board Changes

SELF's Board lost a long-time valuable member in December with the retirement of Jan Keller, Executive Director of Butte Self-Funded Schools JPA.

Jan, who has served on the Board as either an alternate or elected member since SELF's inception in 1986, was most recently the Alternate Board Member for Area II.

in California at the Board's December meeting. She was also presented with a gift from the Members Services & Communications Committee by Chair Nancy Anderson in recognition of her longstanding commitment to that committee.

“We just want to say thank you for 21 years of service,” said Gregoryk at the December 7 Board meeting, inspiring a round of applause from those present.

Other changes to the Board's roster include the resignation of CSU Alternate Board Member Michelle Schlack, who recently took a position as Director of Internal Auditing at CSU and left her position with the CSU Risk Management Department. She, too, will be greatly missed by both staff and Board members.

The Board also welcomed two new alternates in the last several months. Stacy Lane , newly appointed Executive Director of North Coast Schools Insurance Group, joined the Board in December as the Area I alternate, and Tony Nahale, Risk Manager for Norwalk-La Mirada USD, was appointed to the vacant Area VI alternate position.
